About Me ...
After managing software projects for over thirty years, I have redirected the course of my journey to writing. It is something I enjoy doing that I hope will add value and enjoyment for others.
Those who know me well will not be surprised to learn that I like to write about flying. I've been an inveterate airplane nut since I was seven years old when my dad brought home plastic models of the Mercury-Redstone Launch Vehicle and an F-101 Voodoo for us to build together. When I was growing up, I loved flying around western Pennsylvania with my dad in Cessna 172s and Piper Cherokees.
I tried to join the ROTC when I was in college but I am a bit color-blind, so it was a no go. I ended up enlisting in the Air Force instead and served with the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing.
I did later get my private pilot's license and enjoyed flying around the greater Seattle area for several years. Currently, I live on Cultus Bay on Whidbey Island in Puget Sound.
